Webcon Manifold Spacer Sets

Webcon is delighted to announce the introduction of a range of manifold spacer sets.

It is widely understood that increasing intake length can have a beneficial effect on performance. Up until now, the only way to achieve this has been to fit different length intake manifolds when available. However, now the new Webcon spacers allow the existing intake manifold to quickly and easily be extended with the minimum of disruption to the tuning process.

Superbly CNC manufactured in the UK from billet aluminium, the new spacers add 32mm to the length of any 45DCOE manifold and are supplied in kit form with studs, nuts, O rings, gaskets, mounting cups and grommets.

The new spacer kits are available to suit single, twin and triple Weber 45DCOE fitments as below,
but are also suitable for use with 45DCOE flange throttle bodies.

A standard Mini coil can only do so much. When the compression is raised (as in most high performance engines) or non-standard fuel mixtures are used the coil’s performance is challenged so something better is needed. The Mini Spares Gold Performance Coil is totally different to the usual Lucas type and is generally acclaimed as the best on the market.

It represents a massive improvement over the standard coil and yet is a direct replacement upgrade. It must be noted though that it can only be used on non-ballast type Minis manufactured up to 1982. Developed by Eventuri, this particular intake for the E46 M3 consists of:

• 100% prepreg carbon fibre intake housing

• Anodised aluminium inlet cowling

• High flow filter CNC machined MAF tube

• 100% prepreg carbon fibre air scoop with
CNC machined aluminium collar

• Three aluminium heat shields with neoprene linings
and a high quality silicone coupler

The internal cone is reverse mounted. The cone has been designed to help direct incoming airflow through the filter and to create an even velocity profile across the length of the filtration material. Thus it effectively helps airflow disperse across the filter without turbulence.

The external CNC machined cone displays a very unique profilethat has been extensively optimised to help pull the airflow down to the centre and transition smoothly into the downstream tubing. This cone creates a controlled region of turbulence around the tip which increases the convergence speed of the air so that the connecting tubing has a higher velocity profile of airflow leading to the engine. These combined factors result in an increase in the vehicle’s horsepower and torque.

­GAZ Adjustable GP Coilover Dampers for Renault Alpine V6 (Renault GTA)

The Renault Alpine V6 was the first car launched by Alpine under Renault ownership, although the company had previously had a long association with Renault. In the UK it was simply known as the Renault GTA to avoid confusion with the Sunbeam Alpine. It was quite a performer in its day. It’s light weight made it quicker than it’s rivals like the Porsche 944. Nowadays a car like this could benefit from some suspension modifications; particularly when it has to deal with both our current patched up road system and the smooth tarmac of a race track.

GAZ can offer it’s GP adjustable coilovers to lower the centre of gravity and adjust the bump/rebound of the damping.

The ride height can be adjusted by means of height adjusters that have a coarse acme form thread for ease of adjustment and to ensure that they remain in good order even after considerable service.

Damping rates are variable by means of an adjuster knob on the damper bodies. Springs can also be supplied to the customer’s specifications according to the vehicle’s intended use.

When Tickford was commissioned to convert the Ford Cosworth RS into the RS500 one of the changes it made was to lower and uprate the suspension.
