The classic Bristol 405 has now become quite a rare beast. So rare, in fact, that it doesn\u2019t appear in the GAZ catalogue. That didn\u2019t pose a problem for GAZ though when a customer requested a set of fully adjustable rear dampers for a 405. Armed with all of the technical data GAZ proceeded to custom build a set and now that they have the specification GAZ can reproduce them for other Bristol 405 owners too.<\/p>\n
GAZ dampers enable the damping rate to be adjusted to suit the conditions and driving style by means of an easily accessible knob on the side.<\/p>\n
GAZ can set the dampers up with valving for general road use and they will also be suitable for the occasional track slalom and sprint use; alternatively, they can be set up for serious racing use if you so wish.<\/p>\n
GAZ dampers feature a zinc plated body for longevity and a plastic cover to protect the body from mud, stones and dirt.<\/p>\n
All units are individually tested before leaving the factory and are covered by a 2 year warranty<\/p>\n
GAZ\u2008GT Rear Dampers for the Bristol 405 now have a GAZ part number – GT7-5173 – and can be made to order at \u00a364.10 each plus VAT. Fronts can also be made to order.<\/p>\n
GAZ can produce custom made dampers for many other rare classics by working from either the original specifications or the original dampers. Price is dependent on application.<\/p>\n
