The gearbox comes with standard gear ratios: 3.65\/1.97\/1.37\/1:1\/0.82 and is suitable for Ford Sierra and similar Ford four cylinder engines requiring a short input shaft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was Ford\u2019s first rear-wheel-drive five-speed box, based on the four-speed Type E. It features a cast iron main case with an alloy tail housing. This gearbox is the most commonly used for five-speed conversions on older vehicles, not just for classic Fords but also for other classic makes such as MG and Triumph as well as kit cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
