The ratio of first gear has been lowered from a short 3.65:1 to a much more useable 2.98:1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These gearboxes have been reconditioned, but to Ford\u2019s exacting O.E. Standards. This includes a brand new mainshaft first gear and a layshaft cluster that has been modified and fitted with a new first gear. The remaining gears are as original.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Type 9 gearbox (also referred to as a &#8216;Type N&#8217; gearbox in some workshop manuals) was the original fitment on Ford Capri Mk3, Granada Mk2, Granada\/Scorpio Mk3, Sierra 1.6 \/ 1.8 \/ 2.0 and Transit Mk3.In addition it can also be used on older Fords to convert them from four to five speed as well as other classic makes such as MG and Triumph and kit cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Order as part number GBT9160 at \u00a3\u00a32,400.00 inc.
