The rear wheel drive Skodas, made from 1984 to 1990, may have been the subject of negative jokes due to their dated design and appearance but they actually performed well against more modern cars in the RAC Rally, winning their class for 17 years running.

The rear engine gave them good traction, particularly in snow and loose surfaces. However now GAZ can provide improved handling with adjustable dampers.

GAZ fully adjustable GT dampers enable the damping bump and rebound rate to be adjusted to suit the conditions and driving style. They have adjustable damping rates which can be altered by means of an easily accessible knob on the side of the units.

GAZ can set the dampers up for general road use but they will also be suitable for the occasional track slalom and sprint use; alternatively they can even be set up for serious racing use if you so wish.

GAZ dampers feature a zinc plated body and protective plastic sleeve to keep them looking good and working well for long into the future.

All units are individually tested before leaving the factory and are covered by a two year warranty.

The Jaguar S Type was produced from 1964-1966 and was a technically more sophisticated development of the Jaguar Mk 2, which it sold alongside.

It must have made its mark in Jaguar history because it provided the styling cues, and the name, for the later retro-styled S Type which was made from 1999 to 2008.

By now most original S Types will be showing signs of age, particularly in the handling department. GAZ can provide dampers that will not only restore the ride and road holding but offer an upgrade to adjustable damping rates.

GAZ Adjustable Dampers for Ford Ranger Pick Up Truck

The Ford Ranger trucks that we see in the UK and Europe were designed and engineered by Ford Australia, with Mazda offering a similar version as the Mazda BT-50.

GAZ Adjustable Coil Over Dampers for Renault Clio 2 172/182 Cup

The Renault Clio 2 172 and 182 Cup models were basically ‘stripped down’ versions of the Clio; they were designed for performance, but at the expense of some sound proofing and some of the more usual ‘comfort’ items.

Naturally these cars appeal to the track day and competition users. With that in mind GAZ has produced two coil-over suspension upgrades available in either GAZ GHA for trackday and fast road or GAZ Gold for outright competition.

On both versions the damper rate can be adjusted by means of an adjuster knob (top adjuster on the GHA and a side knob on the GAZ Gold – shown). Ride height can be varied by -25mm to -50mm.

The Gaz Gold coilovers have a gas cell in the outer reservoir to prevent cavitation. These are also filled with a high viscosity multi grade fluid to help prevent fade under motorsport conditions.

All the units are individually tested before leaving the factory and covered by a two year warranty for non-competition use.

The GAZ coilover kits are suitable for Clio Mk2 172 and 182 Cup models made from 2001 to 2005 and retail at £597.03+ VAT for the GHA kit and £1013.58 + VAT for the GAZ Gold Kit.

GAZ Gold Suspension Kit for BMW E46

The BMW E46 Three Series has now attained the status of ‘modern-classic’ so it’s only fitting that GAZ should provide a GAZ Gold suspension kit to turn this Teutonic Cruiser into a high performing classic racer or track day car.

The kit includes adjustable coilovers on which the ride height can be adjusted through 60mm. The coilovers have a coarse acme form thread for ease of height adjustment and to ensure that they remain in good order even after considerable service.

Damping rates are variable by means of an adjuster knob on the damper bodies.

The GAZ Gold range is designed primarily for out-and-out racing; each comes with a reservoir filled with a high viscosity index multi grade oil to reduce fade and a gas cell to prevent cavitation under harsh racing and trackday conditions. however, springs (included in kit) are supplied to the customer’s specifications according to the vehicle’s intended use – road, road and track and out-and-out race/track day.

Camber adjustable top mounts can also be supplied as an optional extra for race/track vehicles.

All the units are individually tested before leaving the factory. The damper bodies are now finished in the new GAZ black plated coating to shrug off dirt, dust and minor gravel debris.

Burton Road/Rally/Race Bosch Distributor Kit for Ford SOHC Pinto

Burton Power is now offering fully reconditioned Bosch electronic type distributor kits for the Ford SOHC Pinto engine.

The distributors are fitted with an integral electronic ignition module bolted to the distributor body. Each distributor has a modified advance curve to suit fast road/rally specification and is non-vacuum.

Each kit is supplied complete with constant energy coil and wiring harness. (When using on vehicles fitted with a ballast resistor, the ballast must be by-passed to provide 12v at the coil).

The kits are supplied with a straight cap. The approximate static ignition timing is 14deg BTDC.

Order as part number FT295K at £259.96 plus a £40 deposit, refundable on return of a serviceable early Pinto Bosch electronic unit. (Later static type units are not acceptable).
