Burton Power now has a 40A alternator kit for RWD applications in Escorts, Capris, Cortinas, etc. and it is also suitable for Kent and pre-crossflow powered kit cars.

The kits use a compact Nippondenso alternator weighing in at only 2.75kg. The compact alternator locates closer to the block by means of a custom made laser cut one-piece bracket that incorporates the tensioning arm. The kit also includes a drive belt, required fixings and a plug connector.

In keeping with its policy of remaking parts for Fords that are no longer available from the original manufacturers, Burton Power has had oversized versions of all the various pistons for the Ford Crossflow 711M engine remade to exacting specifications. These pistons are cast and ideal for reliable road use at an affordable price.

Available in sizes:.020”/.030”/.040”/.060”/.090” for 1.3 (18647) and 1.6 (18649) engines.

Oversized pistons enable the reconditioning of a worn engine as well as an increase in engine
capacity. Higher compression ratios may also be available to boost power output whilst retaining
reliability.

The pistons retail at £49.75 each inc VAT and are suitable for Kent Crossflow powered models of: Ford Capri Mk1 1.6 08/1970-1974, Cortina Mk3 1.6 08/1970-1976, Escort Mk1 1.6 Mexico 1970-1974, Escort Mk2 1.6 1975-1980, Fiesta Mk1 1.6 XR2 1980-1983, Caterham 7, Morgan 4/4 1600 1.6 08/1970-1982 and TVR 1600M 1.6 1972-1977.
