The Fidanza aluminium flywheel replaces the heavy standard flywheel and improves the power-to-weight ratio thus making the engine more responsive and improving performance and acceleration.
The Fidanza aluminium flywheel is made from high-quality machined 6061 T6 aluminium with a 1050 steel friction surface, CNC machined fastener holes and chamfers. The friction surface of the flywheel is a replaceable steel plate, so when the surface eventually becomes worn it can be replaced without requiring a new flywheel.
Fidanza flywheels are suitable for use with just about any clutch disc material available – from organic to Kevlar and even sintered iron. Burton Power is pleased to announce that it is now stocking Simpson universal, handmade, race exhausts for Ford Escort Mk1 & Mk2.
The exhausts provide maximum performance under competition conditions. The rear silencer is a straight-through design for optimum power and is repackable for an extended service life.
The system is constructed throughout from 304 ‘aircraft grade’ stainless steel with a 1.2mm wall thickness. All joints are gas purged and TIG welded. All bends are mandrel curved for a consistent diameter throughout the bend with no flow inhibiting creases or folds.
Tube OD diameters start at 2.25”; 2.5”, 2.75” and 3” sizes are also available.
These systems are intended to be for universal use on Ford Escort Mk1/2. However some engine and manifold configurations may require modification and welding of joints and mounts may be required to fit certain applications.
