Some time ago DEI recognised the need for an attractive, professional looking, insulating material for the inside of the glassfibre roof panels of small 4×4 vehicles such as the Jeep Wrangler and so produced pre-cut kits for them.
Now owners of other vehicles can also benefit from a reduction in noise levels of 3-4 decibels, as well as cooler interiors in summer and warmer interiors in winter, because DEI is now selling its headlining material in 75”x54” sheets for universal use.
The 1” thick material comes in black, it is peel and stick for easy installation and it is marine quality to resist mould and mildew whilst insulating from heat, cold and noise.
The sheets retail at $237.85 making it a cost effective DIY alternative for classic car owners rather than having a complete headlining with bows professionally fitted.

The inside of an empty van can be a noisy place but Boom Mat Flex will conform to the most complex curves to deaden vibration and noise and make your working environmemt a whole lot more comfortable.
Boom Mat Flex has the same high quality 2.5mm thick butyl rubber layer as Boom Mat Aluminium, but it also has a clear poly top surface that allows it to shape around any surface – even those that its aluminium sibling can’t.
As well as vans, Boom Mat Flex is also suitable for cars and is particularly applicable for classic cars and kit cars that lack modern insulation. It will curve around pipes and tubes and, because it is rot proof, it can also be used in wheel wells to both insulate and protect against stone chips.
Boom Mat Flex will also reduce panel vibration to improve the sound of your in-car-entertainment system and can be used under bonnet to reduce engine noise.
Boom Mat Flex is sold in packs of four 12”x12’”self adhesive sheets at $29.66 per pack.

Webcon is pleased to announce that it has just added a five port MGB cylinder head to its range of superlight aluminium cylinder heads.
The Webcon cylinder head has been precision manufactured from lightweight LM25 aluminium to give around a 60% weight saving over the original cast iron head. This material also provides superior heat dissipation qualities and is significantly easier to modify; furthermore, unlike the cast iron head, it will not crack.
Webcon supplies the head with valve guides already fitted and with hardened valve seats to make it suitable for use with unleaded fuel.
The new MGB 5 port aluminium head is available with or without valves and springs as follows:
9900384200AS Assembled with valves and springs £1095.00 plus vat
9900384200 Less valves and springs £939.75 plus vat

‘No longer available’ is a phrase that no classic car owner wants to hear, particularly if the classic in question is a prestigious or rare model. However, when it comes to brake discs that phrase need no longer cause dread because, thanks to the technological advances at TAROX, one-off replacement discs are now readily available. Moreover, their quality is such that they even exceed the original factory specifications!
In mass production brake discs are usually cast and reproducing a mould to cast obsolete discs is an expensive business which needs a substantial production run to cover costs. Producing cast discs for exotic classics such as a Lamborghini Miura is unlikely to be economically viable. Instead, TAROX uses sliced rolled steel billets, which enable the re-creation of any brake disc – even on a one-off basis. Both single piece and two piece bell and rotor replacements can be produced by this method and the finished disc will have more than TWICE the ultimate tensile strength per square millimetre than standard cast brake discs.
Of course a company like TAROX isn’t going to leave it there. Because TAROX can produce individual discs the customer can opt to have a plain disc (TAROX Zero) for original concours looks or drilled or grooved discs for very high braking performance. Furthermore, each and every TAROX disc is subjected to structural stress relieving heat treatment to provide the best performance under all conditions. The treated disc is more stable at extreme temperatures, thus minimising the chances of warping, cracking and fading that may be experienced with standard discs.
Finally, after being machined the surface of each disc is manually ground to a tolerance approaching 0.015mm. This creates a perfectly level surface to ensure that the discs are dimensionally true and thereby improves disc and pad ‘bedding in’. The heat-treatment process is as essential on TAROX bespoke discs as it for its regular cast discs. The heat cycles TAROX applies to the steel ensure it is ready for its long and effective life as a high performance brake disc.
TAROX bespoke discs can be produced for most classic and exotic cars which are not supported in the current TAROX ‘off-the-shelf’ application list of performance brakes. Examples include most Italian ‘supercars’ such as the Lamborghini Miura and Diablo, early Nissan GTR models and low production run vehicles such as the Audi R8. Prices vary according to application but typically start from £669 per pair.

The prestigious AMG models are the performance end of the Mercedes range. However, some AMG owners would like even more in the way of braking performance and durability, but find that their options are very restricted. Thanks to the technological advances at TAROX there is now a realistic alternative. Bespoke high performance drilled and grooved discs are now readily available for AMG models and such is their quality that they even exceed the original factory specifications!
In mass production, brake discs are usually cast and producing a mould is an expensive business which needs a substantial production run to cover costs. Sometimes producing regular cast discs is not an option due to design restrictions and often it is not economically viable for rare low production models such as AMG. Instead TAROX uses sliced rolled steel billets, which enable the production of any brake disc on a short run or even on a one-off basis. Both single piece and two piece bell and rotor replacements can be produced by this method and the finished disc will have more than TWICE the ultimate tensile strength per square millimetre than standard cast brake discs.
Of course a company like TAROX isn’t going to leave it there. Because TAROX can produce individual discs the customer can opt to have drilled discs for lightness or grooved discs to aid the expulsion of surface gasses and dust generated during braking. Furthermore, each and every TAROX disc is subjected to structural stress relieving heat treatment to provide the best performance under all conditions. The treated disc is more stable at extreme temperatures, minimising the chances of warping, cracking and fading that may be experienced with standard discs.
Finally after being machined the surface of each disc is manually ground to a tolerance approaching 0.015mm. This creates a perfectly level surface to ensure that the discs are dimensionally true and thereby improve disc and pad ‘bedding in’. The heat-treatment process is as essential on TAROX bespoke discs as it for its regular cast discs. The heat cycles TAROX applies to the steel ensure it is ready for its long and effective life as a high performance brake disc.
TAROX bespoke discs can be produced for AMG models, including, (but not limited to): A-Class W176, C-Classe W204, CLK-Classe C209, CLS-Classe C218, E-Classe W212, ML W166, SL-Classe R230, SLK-Classe R171 and SLS C-197.
Surprisingly, for a bespoke product, the prices are very competitive ranging from just £669 to £945 per pair (except SLS 55 AMG which uses the OE hubs and retails at £494).
