These might just look like gear knobs, but even these simple parts take hours of careful thought to perfect the design. The gear knobs have to feel right, look right and, most importantly, function right.

To enhance the feel of the shift action the knobs have been deliberately weighted to 156g. The diameter and overall size have been ergonomically determined and the product has been machined from 6082 T6 billet alloy prior to being vapour blasted which adds texture to the surface.

Two versions are available. The four speed version is available as part number BG8120, while the five speed version can be ordered as part number BG8121. Both feature an anodised black finish with recessed silver markings and each retails at £29.58 inc. VAT.

Burton Power is now offering brand new Ford OHV Kent blocks explicitly for the 1500 Lotus Twin Cam and 1500 pre-crossflow engines in addition to another version specifically for the 1600 Kent Crossflow.

The blocks have been manufactured by Ford itself, using an all new grey iron casting that is stronger than the originals ever were.

The blocks feature: semi-finished cylinder bores to allow the engine to be built to desired clearances, reinforced lower bell housing bolt bosses, main bearing webs strengthened in critical areas and a centre main bearing machined to accept SOHC Pinto type upper and lower crankshaft thrust washers. Cam/jackshaft bearings are also included.

The Twin Cam/Pre-crossflow can be ordered as part number FL105 and the 1600 Kent block as part number FP105. Both versions retail at £3,600.00 inc. VAT.
