In comparison to its robust and angular predecessor the GLK, the Mercedes GLC has a distinctly more dynamic and elegant look. Yet irrespective of how much HP can be found under the hood in the end, all of the models from this successful series remain highly prestigious. You can add even more stature with LM2R alloy wheels that were newly introduced in 2020 and are now also available for the GLC, including the Coupé version. 9 x 21 inch wheels are fitted on the front axle and 10.5 x 21 inch wheels on the rear axle. Due to their large surfaces, the design of these alloy wheels harks back to the golden age of the Mercedes W140, W124, Mercedes 190, etc. The organic, soft shapes are typical for the spirit of the 1990s. The large center area has a clever arch which makes it appear as if it is suspended from the short mock double spokes – similar to a tent roof. With the recessed rim flange and the spoke ends, which appear as if split, the design pays homage to the present. Overall, the designers have created a very dynamic, powerful, and lively one-piece wheel. The large surfaces contribute to the immense presence and give an extremely self-confident appearance to the wheel, which is available either in hypersilver or in black. Despite the fact that there were no SUVs with today’s modern look in the early 1990s, the Lorinser LM2R fits in perfectly with the modern design language of the GLC and GLC Coupé. If desired, you can also further accentuate the look with real carbon side mirror covers (799 euros).

GAZ Adjustable Dampers for Triumph Stag

When it was new, Triumph Stag purchasers had the option of choosing uprated dampers made by an outside company. So, even then, British Leyland knew that improvements were possible and desirable. (In fact, there were a lot of parts on the car where improvements were not just possible but desirable – however that’s another story!).
