Despite the fact that there were no SUVs with today’s modern look in the early 1990s, the Lorinser LM2R fits in perfectly with the modern design language of the GLC and GLC Coupé. A case in point is the latest Mini Spares Engine Front Plate for A Plus engines that use a timing chain tensioner.

The main bearing cap screw holes are countersunk to allow flat faced screws to be used in place of bolts, thus providing the extra clearance required when using a a duplex chain.

When it was new, Triumph Stag purchasers had the option of choosing uprated dampers made by an outside company. So, even then, British Leyland knew that improvements were possible and desirable. (In fact, there were a lot of parts on the car where improvements were not just possible but desirable – however that’s another story!).

The Triumph Stag’s reliability problems hampered sales and the car never achieved the numbers envisaged for it. If you have managed to lay your hands on a surviving Stag though at least you can bring the suspension up to scratch; GAZ IS now offering adjustable, uprated dampers made to an even higher specification than the original optional versions.

GAZ has added more applications to its rapidly growing range of alloy top mounts. The latest addition will fit the Porsche 924, 944 and 968.

The top mounts will firm up the suspension struts’ location points for improved handling on trackday and competition cars.

There’s no Beetle like a low Beetle, and now GAZ is offering special short front dampers for lowered Beetles made from 1965-79.

The dampers will also fit the Karmann Ghia and Beetle 1300A and 1500A from 1967-79.
