Webcon has just introduced a new inlet manifold to allow a pair of Weber DCOE carburettors
or DCOE style throttle bodies to be installed on the popular Ford Duratec engine.

Webcon designed the new manifold and CNC manufactured it from billet aluminium to have a thickness of just 35mm from face to face; this makes it ideal for transverse engine installations such as the Lotus Elise Duratec transplant.

However, when used with Webcon’s 32mm manifold extenders, the depth jumps to 67mm making it equally perfect for rear wheel drive installations where a longer intake allows for greater mid- range torque.

Webcon 50 DCO/SP Carburettor

For years, Weber 50DCO/SP carburettors have only been available as LH and RH
units, with the outer throttle shaft ends blanked off.

This works well with a conventional distributor ignition system, but as
mapped ignition systems have become more widely used, so the demand for a throttle position sensor fitment on the 50DCO/SP has grown.

In response to this demand Webcon has developed a new, unified
50DCO/SP that features throttle shaft at both ends of the carburettor
and will allow fitment of a Webcon DCO/SP throttle position sensor kit.

Part number 1965000700 can be used for LH or RH fitment, and is available

A unified version of the Weber 55DCO/SP is also available as part number 1970000700

One such part is the long locating pin, used to position the retainer 22G1434 which holds a rod change gear lever in place in the alloy housing. This is one of the two pins required: a long one and a short one.

Burton Modular Water Pump with Front and Rear Covers for Lotus Twin Cam 1500 Engine

The Burton Power modular cover and water pump kit for the Lotus Twin Cam enables the water pump components to be easily removed without disturbing the front cover or the sump.

The water pump components are assembled into a module which can then be inserted into the front cover housing and retained with three socket cap screws. This saves a huge amount of time when replacing the water pump seals and bearing, and saves unnecessary costs in replacing oil and gaskets.

The package includes the water pump module as well as both front and rear covers. It is suitable for a standard height original 1500 block (an alternative is available for 1600 blocks). It is also ideal as a replacement for original corroded front covers. Please note that Burton front covers and back plates cannot be mixed with OE items.

Webcon Short Manifold Weber DCOE Kit for Ford Pinto

Webcon has produced Weber DCOE conversions for the Ford Pinto engine for over forty years. Some installations pose a challenge for modifiers in that they are very restricted for space, with the servo or battery box location meaning that significant modifications are necessary to allow fitment of the carburettors on the existing 94mm deep manifold.

That has all changed now though with the introduction of the new Webcon short manifold, which has an overall depth of just 30mm. This has allowed the production of special Weber DCOE kits suitable for restricted applications and these are available with both 40 and 45DCOE carburettors.
