Each stand features a handy storage tray as well as two threaded bosses in the base designed to accommodate the B-G Racing Levelling Feet (available separately) for use on uneven ground or to increase the height of the stand.

Webcon has recently announced the relaunch of the Weber 40 and 46IDA3C carburettors as fitted to Flat 6 Porsche models; in addition to this, Webcon will be reinstating a large number of the original, genuine Weber parts for these models.

ZetaCRD coilovers are designed for fast road use and use a softer spring and lower damping rates than the ClubRace, but perform very well on the road and are still capable of the occasional track day. When the Triumph Stag was new purchasers had the option of choosing uprated dampers, made by an outside company. So, even then, the manufacturers knew that improvements were possible and desirable. (In fact there were a lot of parts on the car where improvements were possible and desirable – but that’s another story!).

The car’s reliability problems hampered sales and the car never achieved the numbers envisaged. However, if you have managed to lay your hands on a surviving Stag at least you can bring the suspension up to scratch as GAZ are now offering adjustable, uprated dampers made to an even higher specification than the original optional versions.

The GAZ dampers offer on-the-car adjustable rebound at the front and on-the-car adjustable bump and rebound at the rear.

Various fixed bump rates are available for the front depending on whether the vehicle is to be used on the road or in competition.

The GAZ dampers feature a protective zinc plated body, all units are individually tested before leaving the factory and are covered by a two year warranty.

Front damper inserts are available as part number GAI-2334 at £92.19 each and rear dampers are part number GT4-2113, retailing at £60.67 plus VAT each.

The Renault 172 and 182 Sport is still one of the most popular ‘superminis’ of the late Nineties and early ‘Noughties’ and still makes a great trackday car.

It’s just as well then that GAZ can offer GAZ Gold Suspension kits for the 172 and 182 to provide adjustable coilovers to lower the centre of gravity and adjust the bump/rebound of the damping.

The kit includes adjustable coilovers for both front and rear on which the ride height can be adjusted through 60mm. The coilovers have a coarse acme form thread for ease of height adjustment and to ensure that they remain in good order even after considerable service.

Damping rates are variable by means of an adjuster knob on the damper bodies. The GAZ Gold range is designed primarily for out-and-out racing so each comes with a gas cell in the reservoir filled with a high viscosity index multi grade oil to prevent cavitation and reduce fade under harsh racing and trackday conditions. Springs can be supplied to the customer’s specifications according to the vehicle’s intended use.

All the units are individually tested before leaving the factory. Although this kit converts the car to coilovers all round it is a direct replacement with no modifications necessary.
