In 1970, 850cc Minis with engine number 85H101on had a remote type gearbox case. This was fitted with a ‘magic wand’ type gear lever which was held up by a plate underneath. This type of gear change requires a detent spring, which in time can lose its effectiveness or even break.

Burton Power can now provide a Powergrip toothed belt conversion for the alternator and water pump on a Ford SOHC Pinto engine.
The alternator pulley in this new Burton kit will fit 15mm alternator shafts although Burton can also provide a similar version for 17mm shafts (use part number: FT1054K/17).
