Volvo’s 700 series of executive cars, as well as the 900 series which replaced it, make excellent long distance classics; however, the handling and ride can be sharpened up with some adjustable damper inserts.

The G40 version of the VW Golf was designed for more ‘spirited’ driving; to help you keep that extra power under control GAZ has a GHA Coilover Kit especially for the G40.

In response to customer demand, GAZ has produced a double adjustable coilover damper for the Opel Manta B specifically for competition or serious track day use where extra damper adjusting parameters are required.

The body of the damper sports two multi point adjustable control knobs, one for the bump and one for the rebound adjustment. They are manufactured from high tensile alloy with induction hardened piston rods and are filled with high viscosity index fluid to help prevent fade and have an internal gas cell to alleviate cavitation.

Ride height is also adjustable by means of movable spring platforms and locking rings.

The options of self-lubricating spherical bearings and progressive bump stops are also available.

The benefits of wrapping exhaust headers with a heat retaining wrap are well known but with some complicated twists and turns in the pipework this can sometimes be easier said than done.

Now US heat protection specialist, Design Engineering Inc., has a easy solution. Speed Sleeves jackets provide an alternative to wrapping the complete headers and include everything you need to cover and protect the primary exhaust header pipes.

Speed Sleeves jackets are ideal for spot protection from heat generating pipes and manifolds. They are easily installed in tight engine compartments and offer great protection for specific components that are close to the exhaust headers like ignition wires or fuel lines.
