Powerflex has just added a new part to its range of bushes for the Lotus Elise S1 & S2, Exige S1 & MG TF.

With the original Lotus and Rover mount being obsolete Powerflex has been asked to produce a replacement for the aging rubber bush and thereby complete its range of mounts for these vehicles.

PFR34-232 Lower Engine Mount Bush fits lower engine mount brackets found on vehicles with a K series engine. £ 29.94 inc. VAT.

For vehicles used in Motorsports or predominately on track, these parts are also available in the Powerflex Black Series range which is manufactured using a 95 Shore A compound that boasts 25% increased stiffness over the Powerflex Purple 80 Shore A performance material.

Powerflex has just released two new parts to fit the Ford Fiesta MK7 including the ST.

With these cars running increased power for fast road and track use there is an increased demand for additional engine stability; this will improve acceleration response by reducing both torque reaction and exhaust and wiring stress caused through excessive movement of the engine.

PFF19-2025 Front Upper Engine Mount Insert is an insert to fit into the original mount to limit movement of the engine to provide stability under acceleration. £ 23.34 inc. VAT.

PFF19-2026 Transmission Mount Insert provides further engine and transmission stability to improve shift feel and performance. £ 34.74 inc. VAT.

Both of our new parts are easily fitted into the large voiding in existing mounts to make an immediate improvement to engine stability under acceleration and is completely reversible.

Mini Spares is now offering its own 4.5″ x 10″ LM25 alloy wheel based on the 1960’s original Minilite.

The wheel is a perfect reproduction of the original 4.5″ wide Works Leyland Special Tuning Minilite but with cleaner cut looks thanks to modern day tooling.

This is the only 1960’s style Minilite wheel that will fit under the Mini’s wheel well without the need for arches, as required in Appendix K racers.

This unique wheel has the thick outer rim which was adopted by Special Tuning at Abingdon and also uses the tapered washers and stainless steel bolts of the original specification for better wheel centralisation. This unfortunately raises the cost but maintains originality and precision.

The Mini Spares wheel is suitable for serious competition cars as well as classics. It has the correct ET32 offset and can be ordered as part number C-21A1968 at £67.61 inc vat each.

Get the best of both worlds – acceleration and easy motorway cruising – with a Mini Spares five speed gearbox. All gearboxes come fully assembled and ready to install.

Both helical and straight cut gears are available and the gearboxes can be specified with either the original open differential, Mini Spares cross pin or limited slip differential.

The gearbox is suitable for 1275-1380cc engines (except those with extra boosted turbos). The gear case has undergone extensive modification and upgrading by Mini Spares with 58 improvements to the linkage and gear components.

The gearbox features a closer ratio gear set than the standard 4 speed gearbox by virtue of a redesigned laygear and first motion shaft which produce the following ratios-
1st gear 3.282
2nd gear 1.966
3rd gear 1.283
4th gear 1-1
5th gear is technically an overdrive gear and produces a reduction of .882 on the helical teeth gearbox, effectively giving a final drive ratio of 3.037 in 5th.
