Webcon has just released a carburettor service kit to allow a professional overhaul to be carried out on the Weber 40DFO carburettor as fitted to the Opel Rekord Sprint 1.9 from 1967 onwards.

The kit comprises gasket, diaphragm, idle mixture screws, needle valve, pump delivery valve and other associated parts.

Brown & Geeson Ltd – the UK distributors of RaceChip – is pleased to announce the arrival of the new RaceChip XLR electronic throttle control which allows the response and sensitivity of the throttle to be controlled precisely.

Although the new XLR features some design changes and visual differences to the original throttle response control, the big difference is inside. The new XLR utilises completely new software that is much more sensitive to the response of the throttle.

The XLR vehicle applications list is the same as the current Response Control application list.

The XLR utilises an all new nerve centre called the ‘Brainbox’ which plugs into the throttle pedal, is mounted in the foot well and is controlled via the wired controller connected to the Brainbox.

An XLR Connect version is also available. This allows users to control the throttle sensitivity via the Bluetooth RaceChip App on their smartphone (the XLR Connect also includes a wired controller).

Replacing old anti roll bar bushes is expensive as it requires buying the complete bar. Inserts are an effective way of reducing engine and transmission movement, improving power delivery and sharpening gear shifting.
