Mittler Bros. has been producing metal working tools and fabrication equipment in the United States for over 30 years; now these products are available in Europe exclusively from Brown & Geeson Ltd.

 

One of the first products to arrive is the Bead Roller which features a high quality billet aluminium frame offering a 610mm (24”) throat depth and 28.5mm (1-1/8”) throat height.

The roller is foot pedal operated via a variable speed controller, and features a forward and reverse switch.

The easy to use design allows the depth of the bead to be adjusted. Both shafts are driven by the power unit which contains Oilite bushings to ensure a long service life.

For the UK and Europe a voltage converter is required to convert the 110v operation to 240v. (Part number MB200-558 is available separately from Brown & Geeson Ltd.

The Mittler Bros. bead roller offers the widest range of standard round, standard flat, standard step, standard edge, 45°angled and specialty bead rolls. All the rollers have been CNC machined from high quality heat treated tool grade steel.

BILSTEIN suspension components for the Opel Astra K

The Vauxhall/Opel Astra has been a major player in the compact class for 26 years.  In 2008, 10 million vehicles went off the line.  A lot has happened since the first Astra, both visually and technically.  The fifth generation is just on the market and already offers a lot of engine and equipment variants. The German tuning company ABT is best know for its ability to extract extra high performance out of VAG internal combustion engines but with an eye firmly on the future it has now formed  the ABT eMobility Engineering department to promote and further electric powered vehicles.
Actually ABT are no newcomers to electric power. Back in 2009 the company released the ABT eCaddy and its very latest offering is the ABT eCab based on the VW T6.

The ABT eMobility Engineering department will now offer development services to third parties.
“As a tuner we deal so intensely with complete vehicle architectures, that a technology transfer in other segments was only a matter of time and I personally find alternative drives very exciting, as our recent history shows. We have gained such extensive experience in this field through our projects for the eCaddy, eCab and the development in Formula E, that we now wish to offer our expertise externally, in order to support the idea of electric mobility”, says Managing Director Hans-Jürgen Abt.

The spectrum ranges from the development and programming of control units through to lithium batteries and complete drive trains up to the construction of ready-to-drive prototypes. Should something very special be required, there is also the possibility to customize special vehicles and produce limited series. “We are expecting a highly promising sector with ABT eMobility Engineering” says Hans-Jürgen Abt.

Thanks to many years experience in the programming of the AEC (ABT Engine Control) ECUs for increased performance, ABT Sportsline has the ability to develop software and electronics in house to suit  the needs of the customer. Parallel battery systems can also be built in, in order to achieve enhanced battery capacity and high coverage.

E-bike are now becoming highly popular especially with those who might no longer have the ability or stamina to use a regular bicycle, however these e-bike users might also struggle to use a conventional bike carrier with a weighty e-bike.
