The inserts are designed to be a quick and easy solution for excessive transmission movement, whilst the complete replacement bushes provide further stability and more predictable handling.

Powerflex has just released two new polyurethane stiffening inserts for the Ford Focus MK3 RS and ST models; one for the engine mount and one for the transmission mount.

The Mk3’s upper right engine mount was introduced by Ford in 2013 to address excessive engine movement and knocking, but it still contained heavy voiding which allowed excessive engine movement and gave rise to numerous complaints from enthusiasts.

Just because you happen to have a rather unusual classic doesn’t mean that you can’t get performance dampers for it. GAZ shocks recently had a request for bump and rebound adjustable dampers for a Volvo 940 which isn’t in their regular catalogue. Not a problem. GAZ can work from drawings or the original parts to produce new dampers with all the features of their usual GAZ GT range.

GAZ fully adjustable GT dampers enable the damping bump and rebound rate to be adjusted to suit the conditions and driving style by means of an easily accessible knob on the side.

The dampers come with valving for general road use and they will also be suitable for the occasional track slalom and sprint use; alternatively, for serious racing use, you can order the dampers set up just for the track.

The VW Transporter is enjoying incredible popularity at the moment and to get the look right they need to be lowered. But before you start attacking the springs with an oxy-acetylene torch just check out the two complete suspension kits from GAZ : the GAZ Gold provides all round height adjustability with full damper adjustment and GAZ Gold Ultra provides the same with a lower stance to start with.

Both kits include dampers, springs, front struts and adjustable rear spring platforms. The GAZ damper units are easy to adjust whilst on the vehicle by means of easily accessible adjuster knobs at the rear and side adjusters for the front struts.

Shortened body and stroke lengths allow a -50mm to -130mm ride height variation with a coarse acme form thread provided for easy adjustment. ‘C’ spanners are included in the kit.
