Late-model Mini owners can now have all the benefits of silicone heater hoses on their cars. No more perished hoses or inconvenient leaks. The latest easy-to-wipe-clean, highly durable, silicone hose kits come in blue or red to enhance and modernise your engine bay or black for a more traditional look. The hoses are suitable for the 1989 models onwards that were equipped with a plastic inline heater valve. The heater valve hose is a moulded hose as per the originals.

The heater hose that runs from the cylinder head take off to the plastic inline heater valve fitted on 998cc 1988 onwards Minis, which is included in the new Mini Spares heater hose kit, is also available as a stand alone item.

This hose is also useful on modified cars fitted with the plastic valve to enable water to be taken out of the hot end of the engine.

GAZ has recently improved the Gaz Gold suspension it offers for the Fiesta MkV Zetec by providing the protection of a black zinc coating.

As usual the GAZ units are adjustable whilst on the vehicle by means of an easily accessible side mounted adjuster knob.

The GAZ Gold range comes with a gas cell in the reservoir filled with a high viscosity index multi grade oil to prevent cavitation and reduce fade under racing and trackday conditions.

Ride height is adjustable from -25mm to -50mm. The height adjusters have a coarse acme form thread for ease of adjustment and to ensure that they remain in good order even after considerable service.

The GAZ kit is suitable for road and race cars, including those that have been modified or subject to extensive power upgrades.

All the units are individually tested before leaving the factory and are covered by a 2 year warranty.

Burton is pleased to announce the introduction of oversized pistons in a new size that was previously unavailable.

The pistons are ideal for Kent engines running +0.090” pistons which are now in need of a rebore. In the past this would have meant going to expensive forged pistons (+.090” was the maximum size for a cast piston) or finding another engine block.

The pistons have 4mm deep valve pockets meaning they will fit most performance camshafts (including 234 and 244) without any further piston modifications.

The pistons are cast with highly stable invar inserts similar to the original Hepolite replacements.

These pistons are made by an OE manufacturer and should not be confused with cheap Chinese imports.

The compression ratio will be in the region of 10.6:1 in a 1600 engine (the exact figure will depend on block height, head gasket thickness, etc).

The pistons can be ordered as part number 18647/110 and retail at £70.20 each incl. VAT making them considerably cheaper than custom made forged pistons.
