The chain uses modern day materials and technology to keep the timing correct and will fit any A Series engine that uses a single row chain.

This chain saves all the time and effort required in replacing standard chains and is unquestionably worth the slightly extra cost.

This chain and single wheel set up is also suitable for racing engines as it saves weight and resolves problems with timing covers fouling (as often encountered with duplex chain set ups). There is the added bonus of improved longevity – even in a highly tuned engine.

Rocker Shaft End Washer – part number 6K555 – is the standard end washer for the rocker shaft. Priced at £0.96 each incl. VAT

Rocker Shaft Spring Washer – part number 2A18 – is a spring washer that goes on both ends of the rocker shaft to keep tension on the #1 & #8 rockers and is priced at £0.64 each incl. VAT.

In 1970, 850cc Minis with engine number 85H101on had a remote type gearbox case. This was fitted with a ‘magic wand’ type gear lever which was held up by a plate underneath.
This type of gear change requires a detent spring, which in time can lose its effectiveness or even break.

Burton Power can now provide a Powergrip toothed belt conversion for the alternator and water pump on a Ford SOHC Pinto engine.

The alternator pulley in this new Burton kit will fit 15mm alternator shafts although Burton can also provide a similar version for 17mm shafts (use part number: FT1054K/17).

Drive ratios are 1.08:1 for the water pump and 1.86:1 for the alternator.
