Roller tips are probably the most important factor in reducing valve and guide wear when using modern performance cams. Mini Spares has now produced its own Roller Tip Rocker Assembly for 1275cc big bore engines. The assembly features cradle type alloy rocker posts with an increased shaft size to improve rigidity and stronger EN24 adjuster screws with hexagonal head adjustment nuts. The roller tips have a centreless ground finish and the competition thick-wall shaft sits in bronze bushes.

This is the ultimate lightweight alloy valve gear, providing maximum efficiency whilst cutting down side-loading on the valve stems and reducing friction and wear whilst increasing rigidity.

The 1.5 hi-lift keeps valves open approximately 20% more than standard at any given point, although opening and closing periods remain the same. Volumetric efficiency is vastly improved thus increasing power output.

The set can be ordered as part number C-AHT446EVO. It comes with eight rockers, EN24 allen key head adjuster screws and multi point nuts, competition thick-wall shaft and steel pedestals. Complete set retails at £368.20 inc VAT.

Mini Spares® ‘Original’ Metal Clutch Master Cylinders

for classic Minis and Austin1100/1300 variants

For owners of Minis or Austin 1100/1300 (ADO16) variants wanting their cars to look original, Mini Spares® can provide an original looking metal canister master cylinder with ‘Lockheed’ embossed on the metal can-type brake fluid reservoir.

Speaking of brake fluid, these original-spec metal cylinders must only be used with DOT 4 or 5 hydraulic fluid as originally specified in the vehicle’s hand book/workshop manual. Nothing else, such as racing fluid, is suitable.

Whilst these Mini Spares master cylinders are ‘as original’ in almost every way they are now supplied in a glossy silver colour, not the original gold. This is due to regulations that, since 2007, all products must be free from Hexavalent which resulted in the original gold colour during the plating process.

GAZ Adjustable Coil Over Dampers for Renault Clio 2 172/182 Cup

The Renault Clio 2 172 and 182 Cup models were basically ‘stripped down’ versions of the Clio; they were designed for performance, but at the expense of some sound proofing and some of the more usual ‘comfort’ items.

Naturally these cars appeal to the track day and competition users. With that in mind GAZ has produced two coil-over suspension upgrades available in either GAZ GHA for trackday and fast road or GAZ Gold for outright competition.

On both versions the damper rate can be adjusted by means of an adjuster knob (top adjuster on the GHA and a side knob on the GAZ Gold – shown). Ride height can be varied by -25mm to -50mm.

The Gaz Gold coilovers have a gas cell in the outer reservoir to prevent cavitation. These are also filled with a high viscosity multi grade fluid to help prevent fade under motorsport conditions.

GAZ Gold Suspension Kit for BMW E46

The BMW E46 Three Series has now attained the status of ‘modern-classic’ so it’s only fitting that GAZ should provide a GAZ Gold suspension kit to turn this Teutonic Cruiser into a high performing classic racer or track day car.

The kit includes adjustable coilovers on which the ride height can be adjusted through 60mm. The coilovers have a coarse acme form thread for ease of height adjustment and to ensure that they remain in good order even after considerable service.

Damping rates are variable by means of an adjuster knob on the damper bodies.

The GAZ Gold range is designed primarily for out-and-out racing; each comes with a reservoir filled with a high viscosity index multi grade oil to reduce fade and a gas cell to prevent cavitation under harsh racing and trackday conditions. however, springs (included in kit) are supplied to the customer’s specifications according to the vehicle’s intended use – road, road and track and out-and-out race/track day.
