The Mercedes 190E has now achieved ‘classic’ status and despite being designed in the late Seventies/early Eighties is still a comfortable long distance cruising car. However, for ‘spirited’ driving there is room for improvement in the suspension department as noted by Mercedes themselves when they added adjustable rear suspension to the 16 valve Evolution version of the 190.
Fitting GAZ dampers to the rear of the 190E will provide adjustability for damper bump/rebound to suit the conditions and driving style. Adjustment is by means of an easily accessible knob on the side of the dampers.
GAZ can set the dampers up with valving for general road use and they will also be suitable for the occasional track slalom and sprint use; alternatively, they can be set up for serious racing use if you so wish.
GAZ dampers feature a zinc plated body for longevity and a plastic cover to protect the body from mud, stones and dirt.
All units are individually tested before leaving the factory and are covered by a 2 year warranty
GAZ rear dampers for the Mercedes 190E can be ordered as part number GT7-4944 and retail at £64.10 each plus VAT.
GAZ can also offer front and rear dampers for the Mercedes 190SL also at £68.04 each.
