Fidanza, America’s leading performance flywheel specialists, now have direct replacement lightweight aluminium flywheels and a selection of performance clutches for Toyota Celica 1990 – 2005, Corolla 1993 – 2003 and MR2 and MR2 Roadster (also MR-S imports) 1984-2007. The parts will also fit Lotus Elise 2005-07 , Exige and Exige S 2006-07 models.
The Fidanza aluminium flywheel improves the power-to-weight ratio making the engine more responsive and improving performance.
The Fidanza aluminium flywheel is made from high-quality machined 6061 T6 aluminium with a 1050 steel friction surface, CNC machined fastener holes and chamfers. The friction surface of the flywheel is a replaceable steel plate, so when eventually the surface becomes worn it can be replaced without requiring a new flywheel.
The clutches are available in various grades which can be chosen to suit the intended use and level of other modifications made to the car. Choose 2.1 for sprited street and track-day driving in a car with an induction kit and performance exhaust. A 3.2 for similar use in a car that also has an ECU upgrade (chipping), quick shift and high performance tyres. A 4.3 ceramic, high grip version for cars with superchargers or turbos and/or nitrous oxide and a 5.4 pure race version for competition cars with a full race engine and uprated drive train.
