Most aftermarket ignition ECUs are capable of running a 3D ignition map when used with a pair of sidedraft carburettors, and all that is usually required is a throttle position signal to evoke this functionality.

Powerflex now has new, cleverly designed, engine/gearbox mount inserts for some of the VAG PQ35 platform vehicles including: VW Golf 5 & 6, Scirocco, Jetta and Passat as well as Audi A3, S3 & TT with 2.0 FSi, 2.0 TFSi, 2.0 turbo and V6 engines.

The stock transmission and upper engine mounts have always been a problem on these vehicles. The rubber perishes and splits, allowing the engine to move excessively.

The answer until now has been to replace them with new standard rubber mounts or fit expensive aftermarket mounts that are generally prone to excessive levels of NVH transmission.

Powerflex now has an intermediate solution in the form of polyurethane inserts which fit into the original mounts.

Powerflex has added a simple but effective part to its range of parts for Mazda MX5 vehicles, that fits all generations of MK1 NA, MK2 NB, MK3 NC & MK4 ND.

The standard MX-5 rubber door stops soften with age leading to high-speed door rattling and speaker vibration that results in a generally frustrating driving experience. They are often replaced but the problem soon returns.

Replacing the standard door stops with Powerflex branded 95A durometer door stops, resolves these NVH related issues and provides a long-term, fit and forget solution.

The audio quality from the door mounted speakers is also improved due to the reduction of vibration.

Passion Auto France is proud to announce that it can now offer Limited Slip Differentials for the classic BMW E21 and the iconic BMW 2002 range.

The LSDs are made exclusively for PAF by leading transmission specialists 3J Driveline and are available in a number of versions. The following ramp angles are available: 45/45,
40/90, 30/90, 50/90 and 30/60 and preload can be set from 0 to 150lbs/ft according to customer specification.

The PAF 3J NXG differentials for BMW E21/2002 are certainly the most solid and progressive on the market. Thanks to the precision cutting of the gears the noises generally associated with LSD have been eliminated; furthermore the plate pack, which always runs on a minimum of 8 active surfaces, gives maximum surface to surface area contact during use.

The PAF 3J NXG differential will fit into most E21 housings and use the factory half shafts without modification. The only exception is the very early E21 which used 2002 style half shaft flanges. These early E21s and the 2002 will require adaptor flanges which PAF can also supply. They will also need a minor modification to the original diff casing which can be carried out by the customer (full instructions and template supplied) or by PAF for mail order customers. PAF can also recondition the components in the original diff whilst fitting the LSD to renew the bearings and seals and deliver the assembled diff. ready to install on your car. All differentials are upgraded on an individual basis allowing custom specifications to be incorporated. e.g. it is possible to build custom differential with pre-load tolerance of
1-2lb/ft.
