DEI’s Easy Loom Split Line Sleeve Master Kit protecs exposed wires, hoses and cables from heat and the elements. This can be especially important for high performance turbocharged vehicles where swings in engine bay temperature are common.

The kit also provides the means to create and maintain a tidy engine bay, thus minimising the risk of damaged wiring as well as making fault finding easier.

Self-wrapping Easy Loom is lightweight, flexible and simple to install. It is resistant to high temperatures and most automotive fluid. DEI’s Easy Loom Split Line Sleeves have a peak temp rating of 345°F (approx 175°C) and maintain integrity at a continuous 300°F (approx 150°C) with a melting point of 500°F (260°C). The sleeving has a self-closing split design that has a 30% overlap to ensure a strong secure install whilst still being easy to remove for maintenance and repair.

The kit includes five different diameter split sleeves (3/16”, 5/16”, ½”, ¾” and 1”) in addition to quality 3:1 shrink tube ends, silicone tape, nylon zip ties and electrical tape. As the kit contains all of the required sizes there will be no frustrating shortages that interfere with finishing the task in hand.

Burton has recently increased its range of Cometic Head Gaskets both in terms of available applications and the variety of thicknesses available. In some applications there are as many as 11 thickness options available!

Cometic are one of the most respected gasket brands in motorsport and have become the gasket of choice amongst engine builders at all levels of competition and street tuning.

Cometic’s MLS gaskets are made from three or more layers of stainless steel. Cometic uses stainless steel for increased strength, corrosion resistance and it’s ability to rebound to shape. The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a flouroelastomer rubber based material (Viton) for improved sealing and durability. The Viton coating is heat resistant to 25000C.

Prices vary with application and thickness but as an example a .066″/92.5mm head gasket for a Ford Cosworth YB/SOHC Pinto 2.0 retails at £113.00 inc. VAT and a .140″/92.5mm version retails at £204.71 inc. VAT.

The Maserati Levante S model was inspired by the Mediterranean wind of the same name and its spectacular design and refined luxury has captured many admiring glances. Now the well-known automotive studio LARTE DESIGN has prepared a package of new design features for the Italian SUV. The premium carbon fibre tuning kit is called SHTORM and consists of 17 new elements.

The first thing to catch the eye is the spectacular carbon fiber overlay on the bonnet. The aggressive design continues with carbon shieldings, fiercely protruding around the air intakes under the radiator grille and the illusion of the car being supported by the front bumper pad with its additional splitter. Front and rear wheel arches, impressive side skirts and harpoon-like overlays around the wing air intakes add contours and break up what was previously a somewhat slab sided look.

Most aftermarket ignition ECUs are capable of running a 3D ignition map when used with a pair of sidedraft carburettors, and all that is usually required is a throttle position signal to evoke this functionality.
