Replacing old anti roll bar bushes is expensive as it requires buying the complete bar. The alternative is the Powerflex PU bushes which have been developed to work as an economic solution as they can be bought separately and are easily fitted on existing anti roll bars. These bushes will outlast the original rubber versions many times over, they are unaffected by oil and sunlight and also improve stability, resulting in better vehicle handling.

Powerflex has just released a new gearbox mount insert for the Vauxhall Corsa C and Meriva models.

Inserts are an effective way of reducing engine and transmission movement, improving power delivery and sharpening gear shifting.

Gains can be seen in power transfer to the road whilst stress placed on the exhaust down pipe, hoses and wiring is reduced.

Two versions of this mount are available:
PFF80-1030 GEARBOX MOUNT INSERT is for use with the petrol models and uses the regular Powerflex Yellow grade compound. This insert retails at £31.14 including VAT.

PFF80-1030R GEARBOX MOUNT INSERT is available for Diesel models in the softer red PU compound and also retails at £31.14 including VAT.

For vehicles used in motorsports or predominately on track these parts are also available in the Powerflex Black Series range which is manufactured using a 95 Shore A compound that boasts 25% increased stiffness over the Powerflex purple 80 Shore A performance material.

PFR5-4610M3 Rear Subframe Front Bush is designed specifically for the M3, with fast road performance in mind. The new lower half of the bush is made using the Powerflex Purple ShA 80 material to provide extra support for the rear axle, whilst the upper half remains in its Yellow ShA 70 material for optimum NVH absorption. Quality wiper blades have always been an issue for Minis; having such a small surface area, as well as weak springs in the arm, the blade were always going to be fighting a losing battle.

To resolve this problem Mini Spares has designed and produced their own uprated wiper arm and blade set, which utilises a much heavier spring and a larger 11” blade. This upgrade ensures that the blade remains firmly in contact with the screen when driving at motorway speeds.

The key to eliminating exhaust leaks at the manifold flange is the clamp. These cast iron clamps are the best style to use for security of attachment and to prevent gas leaks.

Part number GEX7046CAST will fit most 850cc, 948cc, 998 Minis whose engines have a single carburettor and a cast iron exhaust manifold.

They are not suitable for use on the later 1275 Cooper and Metro which had a different cast clamp.
