Burton Power is now offering the Quaife Quickshift Gear Lever for Ford’s Type 9 five speed gearbox as used in the: Capri Mk3, Granada, P100 pick-up, Ford Sierra and Transit Mk3. This gearbox was also a popular five speed conversion for other classic makes such as MG and Triumph as well as kit cars.

The Quickshift shortens the distance between gears thus allowing for faster shifting. The entire construction is steel for ultimate strength in a serious competition environment. It can also be fitted to road cars – but audible vibrations will be transmitted through the lever at certain revs. This should be taken into account if intended for everyday road use.

Burton Power is now stocking the new Bosch Motorsport 0580464200 fuel injection pump which has superseded the Bosch 044 pump. The previous pump was often referred to as the ‘Group A’ pump – but, in fact it was widely used for all areas of motorsport.

The new inline roller cell fuel pump offers various benefits over its predecessor. Flow rate is increased by 15% and the unit weighs about 15% less than the old 044 pump. It is also designed to handle Ethanol (E85) as well as being suitable for use with RE85 and diesel fuel.

It is capable of providing 300LPH free flow and 200LPH at 5 bar (72.5 psi) for up to 685HP.
The new pump can deliver up to 7 Bar pressure and is equipped with an iInternal overpressure valve set to 8-10 Bar and a permanent internal 130 micron filter.

The new Bosch pump is a direct replacement for the previous model and can be ordered as part number 0580464200 at £198.00 (inc VAT).

The Volvo B18 and B20 series of OHV engines were introduced in the early 1960s and powered a number of popular Volvo cars. Many such vehicles are still running today and a large number of owners chose to upgrade the engine’s induction by fitting the superb Weber 32/36 DGV carburettor.

The Magneti Marelli distributor pick up 71326901 was originally fitted to the Ford Sierra Cosworth and Lancia Delta Integrale, as well as a number of other Fiat and Lancia applications, but was discontinued by Marelli in 2021.

Ford’s legendary Crossflow (Kent) engine first entered production in the 1960s. Although it has not been made for around forty years, tuning this engine is as popular as ever. Whilst many tuners favour a pair of Weber 40DCOEs, a significant number prefer the driveability and economy of a Weber 32/36DGV.

Despite the cessation of Ford’s production of the single carburettor manifold years ago demand is still strong and Webcon is thus delighted to announce that it has tooled up to produce the twin choke manifold for the Crossflow once again.

Mini Spares now has a mobile phone holder, incorporating a useful USB port, that replaces the ashtray in the padded rail on classic Mini dashboards.
