This manifold will allow fitment of a single Weber 32/36 DGVDGAV, 38 DGAS/DGMS or DCD type two barrel progressive carburettors as well as the Webcon Retroject Electronic Fuel Injection Throttle Body.

Webcon Retroject Throttle Body

Converting your carburettored classic to electronic fuel injection has never been easier thanks to the new Weber Retroject Throttle Body from Webcon.

Essentially, Retroject is a dual injector throttle body designed to directly replace the Weber 32/36 DGV and 38 DGAS. The critical dimensions are identical including positioning of throttle lever and throttle rotation. Thus it will be possible to remove a Weber twin choke carb. and bolt on the Retroject, then add any aftermarket ECU and loom and a high pressure fuel supply from a Webcon WFP600. In doing so you will then have the power, driveability, torque and economy of a modern EFI system on your classic car. It really is as simple as that. No messing about with new throttle linkages, new air filters or new inlet manifolds.

Retroject is supplied complete with: 2 x Weber PICO fuel injectors, TPS, air temp sensor, idle motor and fuel pressure regulator. The result is a complete, bolt on, EFI solution at a fraction of the cost and complexity of multi throttle bodies.

Retroject is ideal when using a modern engine in a kit car and EFI is needed to comply with modern catalyst requirements. It will also be ideal for off road, marine and general classic car use.

High Performance HR glossy black for many Audis and VW Touareg

When it comes to making prestige vehicles visually impressive, the alloy wheels must make a big statement. For technical reasons, any unsprung mass should be as low as possible. One elegant solution to this dilemma is provided by the up to 40 % lighter High Performance Wheels from ABT Sportsline. One of the highlights from this range is the HR flowforming rim. Exclusively in 22-inch, this is now available in a new finish: glossy black. The dark smoke variant (22/23-inch) however, continues to be part of the range. The new HR glossy black wheel is produced exclusively in the size 10.0 x 22 inches ET20, with a bolt circle of 5/112.

The innovative flowforming process used in the manufacture of the HR offers similar advantages to those of forging technology. Parts of the cast carcass are rolled out and compressed as part of an additional production stage. This facilitates particularly low wall thicknesses with high stability. In this way, the volume of the rim well could be reduced by up to 50%, which has a positive influence on the weight. As such, this provides optimum conditions for a sporty yet elegant design. New SQ7 TFSI to receive ABT aero packages and alloy wheels

The Audi SQ7 represents sportiness in a large format. The recent change from the torque-heavy diesel to the even more powerful gasoline engine has brought further increases in performance. With 507 HP (373 kW), the 2.3-tonne car is catapulted from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds – a current 911 does not achieve this any quicker. In the future, it could even be close for supercars, because ABT Sportsline is already working on a performance upgrade in the form of the ABT Engine Control (AEC) high-tech control unit.

An Audi SQ7 is not lacking in the ‘confident appearance department’. However, with regard to optimum sporting performance, the world’s largest automotive aftermarket and performance parts specialist for Audi and VW would like to add a few words. The ABT wide body aero package is therefore also available for the SQ7 with the new 4-litre TFSI engine. The set includes an aggressively designed front skirt add-on, fender extensions, door strip attachments, rear skirt add-on and an end pipe cover set. A slim body kit version without fender extensions is available, too. SQ7 owners can also order options such as ABS plastic or carbon fiber ABT rear spoiler or fender inserts.

Alongside such prestigious highlights, the alloy wheels may or indeed must also show off their credentials. Mercedes-AMG gets 340 HP and 20-inch flow formed wheels

The Mercedes-AMG CLA 35 4MATIC has little competition on the roads. Even within the 118 series, only the 45 model is faster. And now this difference can virtually disappear thanks to a new performance boost from Sportservice Lorinser from Germany. The innovative PowerModule turns 306 HP (225 kW) and 400 Nm into an impressive 340 HP (250 kW) and 470 Nm – for only 1,499 euros plus installation. Thanks to plug-and-play, the module can be installed at a workshop or at home in around an hour. The “Lorinser PowerModule”, which was introduced one year ago as a completely new generation of performance boosts and then in 2021 also for the CLA 35, is adapted to the respective engine in minute detail.

During operation, a variety of different sensor values are continuously taken into account to make driving more fun while protecting the engine. Thanks to a special app, drivers can use their smartphone to check the current status and even select different driving programs. And if the owner decides to sell the car, the PowerModule can even be changed over to many Mercedes cars. Sportservice Lorinser can carry out the reprogramming for a fee which is substantially lower than the price for a new module. The Configurator offers an overview of the large range of performance boosts – not only for the CLA. The spectrum ranges from the A-Class to the X-Class, from the E-Class station wagon to the Sprinter, from the sporty Mercedes-AMG GT to the G-Class, covering gasoline as well as diesel engines. Even modern classic cars can benefit from the Lorinser range.

Furthermore, the German company offers attractive 20-inch wheels for the Mercedes-AMG CLA 35 4MATIC as true insignia of power. The stand-out feature of the flow formed rims are the five tapered sections which protrude in between the spokes with regular spacing. The special effect lies in the triangular recesses at two different levels. These give the wheel a unique appearance and presence. At the same time, the multi-spoke design and the particularly narrow rim flange give the RS12 an unparalleled dynamic look. While the main body is painted in anthracite gray, the spoke outlines and the flange are polished, perfectly highlighting the geometric design.

Lorinser converts Swiss Army Puch G into a pick-up

Enough standing to attention! Lorinser Classic allows numerous Puch G from the Swiss Army a new start into civilian life. Latest work is a cool pick-up conversion. The company from Germany is located near Stuttgart and one of only 46 car dealerships in Germany allowed to use the quality seal of being a “Mercedes-Classic Partner” and has had a soft spot for the first generation G-Class for some time. This was triggered by a larger batch from the first half of the 1990s that the Swiss Army put up for sale. There, the vehicles served under the name “Puch G” rather than “Mercedes”. After being bought up by Lorinser, a number of the cars were sold in their original condition, while others were turned into cool restomods: After several models with a tarpaulin and a mobile home, it is now the turn of the hotly anticipated pick-up version. The original superstructure was removed and all openings in the car body were sealed off with solid plastic elements and a heated glass rear window. The experienced team fitted the loading platform with robust protective cladding and a weather-proof cover that can be lifted conveniently with gas springs.

No matter from which angle, the cool G certainly does not look like it is almost 30 years old and has driven around the globe five times. But that is no surprise – during the conversion, Lorinser Classic extensively restored the vehicle that was first registered in October 1993. Any remnants of army exercises were blasted off the underbody with dry ice, while the body itself had all its battle scars removed with a new paint job in RAL 7009 (matt green gray). Now the all-terrain vehicle is back in “dress uniform”. For all restoration work, Lorinser was able to fall back on longstanding in-house experience. After all, the group of companies includes the classic car business as well as a major car dealership and a world-renowned tuning company.

The former army vehicle also received a small, but stylish modernization makeover. In addition to LED main headlights with protective grilles, the mechanics also installed a towbar which can handle an impressive 3.5 tons. Wheel spacers and fender flares in combination with 16-inch offroad steel wheels from DOTZ 4×4 give the car a solid stance on the road. This is complemented by all-terrain tires from BFGoodrich. After all, a G-Class is not a boulevard cruiser and certainly not a racer – but definitely a true offroader. In the 230 GE gasoline version with 116 HP (85 kW), the pick-up prefers a more sedate pace and the standard 4-speed automatic transmission is ideal for cruising while comfortably sprawling on the seats with completely new Alcantara trim. That is all the luxury Lorinser wanted to bestow on the new owners – after all, the puristic character of the vehicle had to be retained. The price for the extravagant, unique car: 52,900 euros.

British Leyland carried out exhaustive tyre tests and found the Cinturato to be superior for all round road holding in wet and dry conditions. The tyres also have a very good wear rate.
