Fidanza Lightweight Flywheel for Jaguar 4.2 engines from 1949 to 1987

Fidanza, Americaʼs leading performance flywheel specialist, has a direct replacement lightweight aluminium flywheel to improve the performance of classic Jaguar 4.2 litre engines from 1949 to 1987.

The Fidanza aluminium flywheel replaces the heavy standard flywheel and improves the power-to-weight ratio thus making the engine more responsive and improving performance and acceleration.

The Fidanza aluminium flywheel is made from high-quality machined 6061 T6 aluminium with a 1050 steel friction surface, CNC machined fastener holes and chamfers with military grade fasteners. The friction surface of the flywheel (shown with its green protective coating in the image) is a replaceable steel plate, so when the surface eventually becomes worn it can be replaced without requiring a new flywheel.

Every Fidanza flywheel application is a unique design, that has taken into account the overall balance, critical clearances, tensile strength, heat dissipation and optimum weight saving that strikes a careful balance between reducing the original weight and maintaining a smooth idle for day-to-day street driving.

Burton’s Type 9 Five Speed Gearbox with Long 1st Gear for Ford Sierra, Granada/Scorpio and Transit Mk3 and others*

Burton Power is pleased to announce it can now offer Ford Type 9 Five Speed Gearboxes (also referred to as a ‘Type N’ gearbox in some workshop manuals) with a 2.98:1 ‘long’ 1st gear.

The complete gearboxes have been reconditioned to Ford O.E. Standards using the GBT9200 long 1st gear conversion kit. This partial gear kit is designed to lower the ratio of first gear from a short 3.65:1 to a much more useable 2.98:1. The upgrade includes a brand new mainshaft first gear and a used layshaft cluster that has been modified to work with the new first gear. The remaining gears are as original. The gear ratios are: 2.98/1.97/1.37/1:1/0.82.

The gearbox is intended for use in:
• Ford Capri Mk3 1.6/2.0 02/1983-1986
• Ford Granada Mk2 1983-1985
• Ford Granada/Scorpio Mk3 1985-1988
• Ford Sierra 1.6/1.8/2.0 1983-1988
• Ford Transit Mk3 1985-1988

*It is possible to use this gearbox to convert older Fords and other classic makes such as MG and Triumph, as well as kit cars, to five speed transmission.

Burton’s English Axle Crown Wheel & Pinion

All Burton Crown Wheel & Pinion Sets are precision manufactured from high quality 8620 alloy steel forgings to Ford O.E. specification and quality standards.

The gears are produced on the latest Gleason CNC machinery to ensure the highest standards of production.
The superior Gleason tooth forms on each gear set are individually lapped together to give optimum meshing quality. After an exacting hardening process, the gears are finally treated to a manganese phosphate surface coating which forms a long lasting anti-corrosion shield, that provides enhanced lubricity and protects against abrasion.

Webcon Universal Throttle Position Sensor

Webcon has just added a Universal Throttle Position Sensor to its range of electronic fuel injection components.
 
The Throttle Position Sensor has been manufactured for Webcon by OEM manufacturer Wabash and can be ordered as part number ATP200.
The Throttle Position Sensor boasts a rotation life of a massive 5 million full cycles. It has a functional heat range of -40 to +155 degrees Centigrade and Is fitted with a conventional 3 pin minitimer type connector to ensure compatibility with all major aftermarket engine management systems.

Webcon’s Twin Choke Manifold for Golf 1.6/1.8

Webcon already manufactures the finest Weber direct replacement carburetor kit on the market for the VW Golf 1.6/1.8, and also offers the legendary twin Weber DCOE kit, but now there is also a mid range manifold option for those who might like to take advantage of mild engine upgrades, but do not want to stretch to a full DCOE set.
 
Manifold part number MM0067 will allow fitment of either a  Weber 32/36 DGV or 38 DGAS  carburetor to a 1.6 or 1.8 eight valve Golf engine. Alternatively the manifold can be used to add the driveability of EFI by fitting the unique Webcon Retroject 38/38 throttle body.
