DEI Flexible Heat Shields

Available in three finishes and various sizes

Excessive heat can easily damage brake lines, transmissions, hoses and electrical wiring – not to mention your skin! DEI Flexible Heat Shields use a combination of advanced textiles and an innovative stand-off bracket design to dissipate heat thus protecting suseptible components as well as arms and legs.

Flexible Heat Shields are rated to offer protection from heat up to 1350°F, making them the ideal solution for any automotive, marine or powersports application where local heat protection is needed. They are of specific safety value around hot exhaust pipes on motorcycles, kit cars, quad-bikes and other off-road vehicles.

Finish and construction.
DEI Flexible Heat Shields come in a choice of finishes: the outer trim is available in Brushed Stainless, Brushed ONYX or the latest ONYX Double Black that features a smart looking Black Cerakote trim finish. All three finish options are available in: 3.5” x 6” and 4” X 8”.
The heat protection area is a dual-layer comprising either a heat-treated glass fibre impregnated with moulten aluminum that is formed into a tight weave or the distinctly coloured ‘DEI Titanium’ material. The backing material is a specially treated, high temperature resistant fabric (89% silica) proven to withstand extreme heat. The outer edge incorporates a surge stitch and all fixings are made from stainless steel.

Stand-off mounting feature
All of DEI’s Flexible Heat Shields feature an innovative pipe stand-off formed by two 3.5” clamps. This design creates an air gap for additional cooling and promotes heat dispersion. The clamp-on design makes installation easy with no drilling required..
