GAZ Gold Suspension Kit for classic Fiat 128

The Fiat 128 was a revolutionary car. It was the first front-transverse-mounted-engine, front wheel drive car to have the engine and gearbox side by side thereby eliminating the lubrication and torque steer problems found on other cars of the time.
However, that was back in 1969 and things have moved on, particularly in the field of suspension. A GAZ Gold Coilover suspension kit will introduce height and damper rate adjustability to the 128.
The kit includes suspension springs and adjustable coilovers on which the ride height can be adjusted through 60mm. The coilovers have a coarse acme form thread for ease of height adjustment and to ensure that they remain in good order even after considerable service.
Damping rates are variable by means of an adjuster knob on the damper bodies.
The GAZ Gold range comes with a reservoir filled with a high viscosity index multi grade oil to reduce fade and a gas cell to prevent cavitation under harsh trackday conditions. However, the springs (included in kit) are supplied to the customer’s specifications according to the vehicle’s intended use – road and track day or out-and-out racing.
All the units are individually tested before leaving the factory. The damper bodies are now finished in the new GAZ black plated coating to shrug off dirt, dust and minor gravel debris.
