The third and final incarnation of the Cavalier was a big improvement on its predecessors (and most earlier Vauxhalls) in terms of durability; the rust problems that had plagued Vauxhall for years were finally being conquered. The rust problem may have been solved but any Cavaliers that survive today will probably be in need of new dampers. Fortunately, GAZ can provide them and GAZ dampers are bump and rebound adjustable too.
GAZ dampers can be adjusted to suit the conditions and driving style and can be altered by means of an easily accessible knob on the side of the units.
GAZ can set the dampers up for general road use but they will also be suitable for occasional track, slalom and sprint use or, alternatively, they can even be set up for serious racing use if you so wish.
GAZ dampers feature a zinc plated body and protective plastic sleeve to keep them looking good and working well on your historic car for long into the future. All units are individually tested before leaving the factory and are covered by a two year warranty.
The GAZ front top adjustable inserts (part number GAI-0107) for the Vauxhall Cavaier Mk3/Opel Vectra ‘A’ retail at .£96.80 each plus VAT and the GT dampers at the rear retail at £63.70 each plus VAT. The front inserts will also fit the Calibra although the rear will require part number GT9-2296 at £78.78 each plus VAT.
