Mini Spares Metal Sliding Window Catch Set
for Classic Minis MK1 & MK2, Traveller, Van, Countryman, Riley Elf and Wolseley Hornet

Classic Mk1 and 2 Minis and Mini Coopers had chrome metal catches for the sliding windows and channels. Black and white plastic catches replaced the original ones in May 1963. The original metal versions have not been made for a while, which is why they are so difficult to find.

Thankfully, Mini Spares now offers a premium original reproduction of the chromed metal catch set which enjoys a high quality of manufacturing and an accurate vintage style.
The parts are made of Zamak (a mixture of Zinc and Aluminium) and manufactured by high temperature die-cast injection in a steel mould. Few other technical materials offer such a combination of strength, hardness and rigidity. The piston of the mechanism is made of 316L stainless steel to ensure optimal operation, solidity and longevity.

The parts are plated by hanging in a plating bath (each piece is manually hung on a frame and then soaked in treatment baths) before being polished manually. Finally, a colourless epoxy lacquer is applied to protect the parts from oxidation.

This full and complete kit comprises: four chrome latches + four white plastic parts + four rubber seals + four chrome screws + four chrome nuts.
Order as part number MSSK015METAL at £288.00 inc VAT.

Also available at additional cost: stainless steel runners for use with these catches.
