Mini Spares Differential Side Covers for all classic manual Minis except those with Hardy Spicer Joints

The standard Mini transmission output side covers are notorious for leaking oil; however, replacing the seal doesn’t help for long if the bronze bush is worn too. If the covers are also warped across the gasket surface it will be impossible to shim the differential correctly! The only answer is a replacement.

Fortunately, Mini Spares offers both left and right types of differential side covers. For rod change Minis the right hand side cover requires a lug for the detent spring. This is available as Part No. CHM84. For the left side or early cars CHM85 is available without a lug.
Both side covers retail at the same price of £64.80 each including VAT.

The covers come with reamed bushes fitted, but the oil seals are available separately.

Mini Spares does, of course, also cater for Minis that are equipped with the Hardy Spicer type gearboxes. The differential cover for these is part number 22G420.

Burton’s Quiet Road Use Quickshift Gear Lever for Ford Type 9 Five Speed Gearbox

Fitting a quick shift gear stick to your car is a quick and easy modification that really improves the feel and speed of gear changes due to the shorter and more direct throw. Up until now the only complete quick shifts on the market have all contained steel spherical bearings. This makes them perfect for competition use but, unfortunately, at certain RPMs the steel bearings will start to vibrate and rattle which can be painful on long road journeys.

To solve this vibration problem, but still retain the positive and direct gear change, Burton completely redesigned the quick shift and replaced the steel bearing with a high vibration dampening nylon spherical bearing.

The dry sump oil pump incorporates a standard type oil filter fitting, removing the need for a remote filter assembly and was designed for Formula Fords and other chassis mounted engine applications.

The pump features a Tuftrided steel drive gear along with 5/8″ pressure and large 1 1/8″ scavenge rotors.

DCOE Manifold for Duratec Engine

Webcon has just introduced a new inlet manifold to allow a pair of Weber DCOE carburettors
or DCOE style throttle bodies to be installed on the popular Ford Duratec engine.

Webcon designed the new manifold and CNC manufactured it from billet aluminium to have a thickness of just 35mm from face to face; this makes it ideal for transverse engine installations such as the Lotus Elise Duratec transplant.

However, when used with Webcon’s 32mm manifold extenders, the depth jumps to 67mm making it equally perfect for rear wheel drive installations where a longer intake allows for greater mid range torque.

Mini Spares Engine Block Upgrade Gasket Set for all classic Mini engines

If you are rebuilding or modifying a Mini (or other A Series) engine be aware that some, so called, ‘genuine Rover gasket sets’ can be poor in quality and may have incorrect parts.

The problem has been so significant that Mini Spares decided to put together its own correct gasket set. The original Payen gaskets served as a template, but modern KLINGER super gasket material (as used on some parts of the MPI twin point injection engines) has been used.

This dual-fit, multi-piece selection of KLINGER upgraded engine block gaskets will fit any early or A-Plus engine. They are suitable for road or race and will boost the longevity of your classic Mini.

The kit includes two rubber tappet chest cover seals (as fitted to some Minis from 1966).

Mini Spares Lucas Sports Coil for Minis with Non-Ballast Ignition Up to 1983

The standard coil that came with classic Minis can only do so much. When compression is raised (as in most high performance engines) or improper fuel mixtures occur something more robust is needed.

Mini Spares has the answer with the Lucas DLB105 coil from the company’s Authentic Classic Range. This coil is a big improvement over the stock version and is a direct replacement. However, it must be noted that it can only be used on Minis up to 82/83.

The coil comes with nuts and washers, as well as one single spade and two double spade connectors.
