Ford’s Zetec E engines came with a plastic thermostat housing which had a tendency to leak. Fortunately, Burton Power has the remedy in the form of a heavy duty replacement thermostat housing made from cast aluminium instead of the usual plastic.
The aluminium housing is a direct replacement on ‘silver top’ engines. The housing can also be used on ‘black top’ engines by using Screw-in Coolant Sensor XTT221 and Sender Blanking Bung FP503. (The screw-in coolant sensor is far more reliable than the factory push-in type).

Certain Ford models used a two piece propshaft instead of the more usual single shaft. A strong vibration and drumming from under the middle of the car is fair warning that the centre bearing is failing and is not to be ignored.

Webcon is pleased to announce a 100mm long aluminium air horn for the Weber 40 DCOE series of carburettors.
A longer air intake can improve low-end torque and broaden the powerband, particularly in naturally aspirated engines. This is because longer intake runners create a ram-air effect at lower RPMs, increasing air pressure and boosting the amount of air the engine can draw in.
