The Escort MkII estates and vans were a bit of an oddball creation with the Escort MkI body and an Escort MkII front end.
However, this doesn’t stop GAZ Suspension from offering GT shock absorbers for these models.
GAZ GT Dampers will provide variable bump and rebound rates which can be adjusted to suit the conditions and driving style. The damping rates can be altered by means of an easily accessible knob on the side of the units.
GAZ can set the dampers up for general road use and they will also be suitable for occasional track slalom and sprint use, or alternatively they can even be set up for serious racing use if you desired. It should go without saying that the rate can also be wound up to carry a heavy load in the back!
GAZ dampers feature a zinc plated body and protective plastic sleeve to keep them looking good and working well for long into the future.
All units are individually tested before leaving the factory and are covered by a two year warranty.
The GAZ GT dampers for Ford Escort MkII estate/van can be ordered as GAI2103 for the front and GT5-2061 for the rear. Front dampers retail at £96.80 each and rears sell for £63.70 each. Prices are plus VAT and the dampers are suitable for all estate and van models from 1975 to 1980.
